With SGA funding, the WSC Outing Club has acquired some outdoor equipment over the years. This equipment is available for use by the College community, though official Outing Club trips have priority in case of conflicts. Equipment is located in a storage closet off the SGA room in the basement of Ely, and may be signed out by contacting Barbara Hand (572-5429). Our most recent inventory of equipment was completed by Chris Fanous in September, 2004 and is reproduced below: Camping/Hiking Equipment: Tents - 2 4-person L.L. Bean dome tents Tent Repair Kit - 1 External Frame Backpacks - approximately 10 Camp Stoves - 2 large Coleman, several smaller stoves w/fuel canisters Camp Cookware - 1 pot w/lid, 6 metal plates Camp Lanterns - 2 Coolers (36-48 quart) - 2 Skiing/Snowshoeing Equipment: Snow Shoes (wood) - 4 pairs Snow shoes (metal) - 3 pairs Ski poles (XC/snowshoeing) - about 8 pairs Boating/Canoeing Equipment: Canoes - 8 (currently not available w/o faculty supervision) Canoe Paddles - approximately 8 sets Personal Floatation Devices - approximately 16 Whitewater Helmets - approximately 10 Miscellaneous Equipment: Caving Helmets - approximately 13 Bike rack (for rear of vehicle) - 1 Bike pump - 1 |
